CESMT FEI PET NBCAAM

CESMT, FEI Permitted Equine Therapist, NBCAAM Equine Acupressure

I have been a horse girl my whole life! I took a break after leaving school to work on the finance industry and raise my family, but got back into horses after moving to Texas in 2015. I have previously worked at a riding school, managed a large dressage barn and groomed for gold medalist dressage trainers. I decided to leave behind grooming and barn management for full time bodywork in 2019 and haven’t looked back. Since gaining my CESMT I have continued to learn and am now certified in many different techniques and modalities. I am an FEI Permitted Equine Therapist, NBCAAM board certified in Equine Acupressure as well as working towards board certification in massage.

Tensegrity Balancing Therapy

45 Mins

Session includes; Before & after photographs each session to record changes - laterals, front, back and dorsal. Video of horse walking before and after each session to record changes. Basic dynamic assessment. Application of therapy (method created by Tami Elkayam). Owner will be provided with homework to complete between sessions, techniques for homework will be practiced as part of the session and may change from session to session depending on horse’s progress. Homework should be completed at least 3 times a week. Horse needs to be off work after session until at least the following day and likely needs a lighter day’s work. Session time included assessments, recording/photos and demos/practicing for owner. Owner (or caretaker for the horse) must be present. Horse should be clean and dry, not freshly worked, and a quiet space such as a stall, cross tie with access to space to video walking is necessary - barn aisle works fine. Sessions usually run 45-60 mins but will depend on the horse. Usually majority of time is required to demo techniques to owner & practice.
