I became certified in 2020 as an Equine Sports therapist, I’m currently specializing in equine behaviour and rehabilitation. My passion is soft tissue therapy and strengthening and conditioning sports horses and rehabbing sports injuries. I have over 15 years of experience with horses from foaling to geriatrics, in training, multiple disciplines including western and three-day eventing and hunter/jumpers and classical dressage with a focus on proper biomechanics. I worked as head of post-surgery/clinical rehabilitation at an equine-specialized veterinary clinic assisting with the head vet for in-clinic emergencies and field work which helped in my certification for equine first response training.
Equine Sports Therapy uses cutting-edge techniques and modalities to focus on ailments that are reducing your horse's performance and quality of life. increases muscular function and adaptability, range of motion. equine athletes are always changing and evolving so why not invest in preventative care and maintainence. I use multiple modalities including massage, muscle strengthening exercises, stretching techniques and kinesiology to gain results.
Saddle fit is recommended to be checked every 3-4 months to ensure proper fit during the course of the active riding season since horses musculature changes as there fitness increases. I take a more wholistic approach so I check for symmetry of the horse, saddle as-well as rider when appropriate to ensure a balanced fit I will often ask the level of competition as-well as for the horse to be ridden for a few minutes for a dynamic assessment of the fit of the saddle for both horse and rider. Please consider I do not not carry consignment saddles at this time, you must provide all saddles if necessary for me to fit to your horse if you require a new saddle. Please bring all items you use on a day to day basis for padding underneath the saddle eg. if you ride in a thicker style pad, half-pad etc. this does alter the way the saddle lays on the horses back.
my be asked to ride horse so please dress appropriately
Discount added at the discretion of practitioner for when more then 2 horses are booked at the same place with same owner.
