ATS Certified Equine Acuscope Therapist, ATS Certified Canine Acuscope Therappist
Insight on the owner of Equanimity Animal Therapy, Jessica Howes. She has been in the performance horse industry since she was young and was exposed to multiple disciplines. She developed a passion for animal care through the extensive conditioning and rehabilitation she had to navigate with her equine athletes. She studied veterinary medicine at the University of Nevada Reno and Truckee Meadows CC. She was hired as a veterinary technician at a local veterinary clinic until she was hired by the Solano County Sheriffs Office as an Animal Care Specialist,. At the beginning of 2019 she pursued her passion of becoming a certified equine Electro-Acuscope and Myopulse Therapist through Animal Therapy Systems. Not long after in October of 2019, Jessica became certified as a canine Acuscope therapist, in order to try to make a difference in the small animal industry as well. Each year Jessica continues her education through online courses specifically for certified Acuscope Therapists or courses tailored towards equine biomechanics and rehabilitation. She combines her experience in the veterinary field and performance horse industry into her services. This year Jessica is also continuing to pursue her CEMT through an accredited NBCAAM school and will be providing equine massage therapy soon as well!
