My love for horses and kids goes way back! When I was a young 'un, I'd jump at any chance to be near them. Then in college, my dear friend Ashley opened my eyes to the magic of horses. One unforgettable adventure was strolling with Prancer and Blitzen - pure joy! I hold a degree in Psychology and a certification in Autism from UND. During my further studies, I concentrated on behavioral interventions. Before deciding to stay at home with my children, I spent approximately five years working with children with special needs. I've always been drawn to supporting kids tackling behavioral hurdles. It was a beautiful opportunity to learn the magical world of horses and decoding body language was so inspiring. EquiScholars is the perfect marriage for my 2 passions; being apart of children learning process and interacting with horses. In 2023, I leaped into Equine Massage classes after witnessing my horses' happy dances post-massage. My knack for decoding kids' behavior synced perfectly with understanding horses and I wanted to learn more. I got hooked on deciphering every twitch and wiggle of these majestic creatures. By September 2023, I completed my Myo-functional Massage and Cranial Sacral certifications, plus ANMR, Red Light Therapy, Acupoint, and KT Taping certifications. My journey was in full gallop! My future goals are to learn more about Equine nutrition.

What will camp look like for your child? Each day will be filled with hands on, enriching activities that engage your child to becoming a steward of horses, learn more about themselves and have an opportunity to be hands on with the animals and nature. EquiScholars is NOT a riding/lessons program. All activities done with the horses will be from the ground. The camp is open to any child. No prior experience is needed. Each child will be provided 2 snacks a day, (lunch is to be brought with them) learner packet, an art creation to remember their time at TheraBarn and a certificate of completion! Ages: ability to engage in a full day of activities. 10 slots per camp. Camp is filled on a first come, first serve basis Cost: $100 with a $50 deposit to hold your spot. Refunds will be given up to 72 hours before camp. Discounts will be given to families with 2 or more signing up to the same camp. After the massage then a cranial sacral session will begin. The cranial sacral session focuses on bringing attention to the craniosacral rhythm of your horse. The focus is given to the horse from his/her head to tail. The fascia system can have an influence on the cranial sacral waves. This part of the massage is done in silence and requires no interference from electronics. ANMR addresses any muscular hypo or hypertonicities by re-establishing proper neurological input and directly releasing the spasms or trigger points in the muscles. This package is provided to give your horse and you piece of mind that all appropriate and necessary opportunities are given during their session. The package could possibly include Massage, KT taping, cranial sacral, ANMR and/or RevitaVet session. This session would average about 2 - 2 1/2 hours in length. The concerns will be addressed using the appropriate approach to each individual need. This package is an opportunity to be beneficial to the owner by allowing for all modality options to be available as well as cost predictions. There would be no additional charges applied to this package other than tax. Please allow for a minimum of 2-2 1/2 hours for this appointment.
