Serene Equine: Bodywork and Biomechanics, LLC offers sports massage therapy services for the equine athlete and education for the owner! Owner Kelly McGhee has a strong science background that she applies to each session. Sports massage is more than just making your horse feel good and relax their muscles, it treats areas of restriction so that circulation can be restored, muscles can decompress, and nerves can be calmed. This leads to healthier horses and happier owners! Each bodywork session starts with an overall assessment of problem areas. The session itself takes about an hour and includes stress point therapy, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and (if the horse is willing) TENS treatment. Kinesiology taping is also available. Owners are encourage to watch, ask questions, and feel the treatment. This is not required though, and Kelly sends out post-session repots so owners have a record to look back at. The reports also work as a reminder to the 'homework' assigned to owners (don't worry, its easy and there won't be a test!).

Certified Equine Massage Therapist
Serene Equine: Bodywork and Biomechanics is run by Certified Equine Massage Therapist Kelly McGhee. Kelly earned her CEMT from the Animal Rehab Institute in Florida and earned her first equine kinesiology taping certification in 2020 and is working on her second KT certification. She is passionate about educating owners so they can be their horse's best partner. Kelly has a background in dressage instruction and takes that eye for detail into her equine bodywork. This allows her to help owners build off-horse exercise programs to target trouble spots found during bodywork sessions- hence the business name of 'bodywork and biomechanics.' Kelly's passion for education keeps her learning both at home, online, and at accredited colleges.
