Description

Most hoof issues are man-made. Because of poor angles and a hard ground, many horses develop caudal heel pain, begin traveling toe first, and develop what's known as a "high" or "low" heel -- basically, deforming their foot and causing them to strain their tendons, ligaments and the bone. By allowing the horse to travel comfortably on their heels again, you can stop and even reverse the symptoms of navicular, arthritis, ringbone, and many other hoof problems. I use an anti-inflammatory diet and correct hoof set up to restore underrun heels. Ideally, I work hand in hand with your farrier, but I can also recommend a fantastic farrier in the SoCal area. Many people who contact me have horses who are lame, stumbling, unhappy on the bit, or who are having problems collecting. Most owners come to me when bar shoes and wedges have failed them, and they’re thinking of either nerving or putting their horse down. Please take a minute to check out my instagram, which includes many examples of lame or “serviceably sound” horses who are tripping or stepping toe first painfully, and you’ll see when they’re allowed to travel heel-first comfortably, they are instantly sound again.
